Inspired by the iconography of a sacred, burning heart ~ a fire of love.


A hand-carved and sculpted frame heart and stylized flames. Cast in recycled bronze with an antiqued patina, set with found image ephemera - detail from the Tree of Life Tapestry by William Morris & Co - under iridescent glass. Backed with antiqued and painted birch bark with a pyrography flower. (sealed for preservation, but please keep dry) Adorned with a teardrop labradorite bead.

This sacred heart amulet measures @ 1 1/8 inches at widest, @ 2 1/4 inches long, hangs on an 18" inch oxidized bronze/brass chain. Can be worn shorter.
