I have been passionate about adornment as far back as I can remember. As a child I was mesmerized by the Egyptian wing of our local Museum, and a special exhibition on Pompeii when I was nine made a particular impression on me. Frozen in time. Weathered beauty.
At The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, I studied Art History, Stained Glass, Architecture & Metalsmithing ~ Parrish Relics are symbols of everything that has inspired me along the way. After @ 30 years creating mainly one of a kind amulets handcrafted in polymer clay, stained glass, semi-precious stones & glass vessels I have now added an exciting new line! My work had been selling out so quickly & it has been very hard to keep up with the demand, leaving many people frustrated about not being able to purchase anything fast enough. This has encouraged me to do something that I have been wanting to do for years but was frankly intimidated to take this giant leap...to create finely detailed amulets by hand that are then cast in the ancient lost wax method into metal! Working closely with one of the oldest casting companies in Boston's Jewelers Building, I am now able to offer multiple designs in sterling silver & bronze. Looking forward to adding to this special collection over time ~ while also releasing one of a kind clay pieces as they ask to be made. Hopefully the best of both worlds!

Over the years I have been lucky enough to create for some of my favorite writers, museums, the entertainment industry ~ and for romantics who daydream about Venice, obsess over flora and fauna, admire Medieval oddities, worship Pre-Raphaelite Bohemians or just enjoy a well adorned fairy tale.
